Native American Tribal Consultation
Working together with Native American tribes and descendent communities of all types is a requirement when complying with many cultural resource laws in the United States…and a good idea regardless of where our clients are working. Collaboration can provide insight, new perspectives, and knowledge about cultural and heritage resources unavailable from other sources. Working together with descendent communities from the start of a project will produce a better product and will often expedite a project’s time line. However, many clients are uncomfortable and uncertain about how and when to include members of these groups. MAC’s clients, though, can relay on staff with decades of experience in consultation and collaboration with these communities. In fact, MAC is one of only a few firms having a Native American tribal consultation specialist on staff.
