Surveying in North Dakota

Metcalf strives to create volunteering opportunities for people interested in archaeology, including chances to work directly with the company (when a project allows) and to work with other archaeological organizations. Available tasks for volunteers may range from excavation to surveying to lab work.

Our company sponsors the volunteer organization HistoriCorps, an organization that utilizes volunteers to complete historic preservation projects. HistoriCorps work crews are designed to optimize teaching and learning opportunities and to give volunteers the chance to work with various trades specialists. For more information on their current projects and volunteer opportunities, please go to their website.

Additionally, we partner with local organizations like the Colorado Historic Society, the North Dakota Historic Society, and the Lamb Springs Archaeological Preserve to provide volunteer opportunities whenever possible.
