Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc., an employee-owned provider of heritage management consulting services, solicits applications for experienced archaeological project directors for our current 2010 field season. The qualified candidates must have sufficient experience to be listed on permits and have active first aid/CPR certification-an MA is preferred but not required.

These positions are hourly project-specific positions. Project locations may be in Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming or adjacent states and include all phases of archaeological work (i.e., survey, testing, and data recovery). Projects may require extended field time, typically on a 9 days on, 5 days off schedule, although schedules will vary from project to project. Camping may be required. Single rooms are provided for motel stays, although on rare occasions double occupancy may be required. Per Diem (lodging excluded) is typically $39. Lodging is paid directly by the company. MAC also offers a variety of AFLAC insurance policies to our temporary employees that can be taken with you when your employment ends.
